Part of the problem is that I no longer have a dedicated studio. The small room that used to house my lights, backdrops, and other equipment now houses a guest bedroom where my mom and stepdad stay a few days a month. I have no qualms about giving it up. That simply means that it is a space and time issue to get things set up properly.
I will be attempting to be a little more proactive with my skills. There is no excuse for some of the shots I have posted. Just wanted to clear up that I did learn a little bit from that first degree I obtained. It may be useless as far as getting a job is concerned, but I still take great pride in the knowledge I obtained.

Oh, I hear you on the photography. I happen to live with a professional photographer yet any pictures I use online are quick things snapped with a cell phone or old point and shoot camera.
ReplyDeleteI could easily have my husband install Photoshop on my computer (well, beside the fact that Photoshop costs a small fortune and we don't have a license to install it on more than one computer right now) and teach me just a few simple things but the fact of the matter is that I'm just too lazy to bother.
Just noting that GIMP is free, open license, and will do almost everything photoshop will do. I have used both, and prefer GIMP. It takes a little bit to get used to but I absolutely love it and will not use any other photo editing software. :)
